The Delaware County Children’s Chorus provides exceptional choral music training. Our mission is to inspire joy, creativity, and unity through the power of music. We provide a nurturing environment where children can discover their voices, develop musical skills, and cultivate lifelong friendships. Through vibrant performances, we aim to uplift spirits, spread positivity, and foster a love for music that resonates within our community and beyond.
About Our Director

Jayne Borras
Jayne Borras is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Delaware County Children’s Chorus.
Jayne has a passion for teaching students of all ages and abilities how to share their voices, while developing musical literacy and ensemble vocal skills.
Jayne is the Director of Music and Choirs at Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Flourtown, PA. She directs three vocal ensembles, teaches Honors and AP Music Theory, serves as an advisor, and oversees the music program.
From 2013-2020, Jayne served as the Director of Choral Music at Abington Friends School in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. There she directed six ensembles in the Middle and Upper Schools. She founded and taught the Upper School music theory curriculum, including Introduction to Music Theory and AP Music Theory, and served as Music Director for the annual musical theater productions.
Jayne has previously served as the Director of Music and Organist at Central Baptist Church in Wayne, Middle School Choral Music Teacher and Academy Organist at the Episcopal Academy, Assistant Conductor of the Haverford-Bryn Mawr College Chorale, and Interim Music Director of the Lehigh Valley Chorale. Her “Dickinson Songs” have been premiered and recorded by the Women’s Voices Chorus (North Carolina). Jayne holds a BA in Music from Duke University (cum laude) and a Masters of Sacred Music in Choral Conducting from Boston University (summa cum laude). At Boston University, she was awarded the Dean’s Fellowship. She has completed additional study at West Chester University, Westminster Choir College, and the National University of Ireland. She holds memberships with the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA), American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), and Chorus America.
Jayne resides in Media with her husband and two daughters.
