Mixed chorus in Delaware County, PA serving students in grades 2-8. Rehearsals for our inaugural season begin Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Weekly rehearsals will be on Tuesday evenings.
Choristers
Grades 2-4
Members of the Choristers learn the basics of choral singing including: posture, breath control, diction, tone quality, and ensemble blending. Choristers are introduced to music literacy, reading music notation and sight-singing using Kodály rhythm syllables and Solfège pitch assignment. These skills, along with rehearsal and performance etiquette, are taught in an encouraging environment through age-appropriate repertoire. The Choristers perform a minimum of two concerts per year.
Chorale
Grades 5-8
The Chorale is a beginner-intermediate ensemble that focuses on continued development of vocal technique, musical skills, and performance etiquette. This ensemble performs a wide variety of choral literature that is drawn from the following traditions: Western art song, classical music, folk music, music of non-Western origin, sacred music, and jazz. The Chorale performs a minimum of two concerts per year.
About Our Director

Jayne Borras
Jayne Borras is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Delaware County Children’s Chorus. Jayne has a passion for teaching students of all ages and abilities how to share their voices, while developing musical literacy and ensemble vocal skills.
